These familiar passport photographic formats are presented with interventions that express the artist’s origin and search for identity. This is suggested through the addition of pictorial postal stamps of the artist’s home, the British overseas territory of Gibraltar.
The artist presents two portraits of his image with two notably different stamps that celebrate Gibraltar. The interventions reference the political conflict between Spain and Britain regarding ownership of Gibraltar, as well as portraying the artist’s disorientation to his roots.
In these works it is the artist who has been colonised by the absurd placement of the everyday.
These works form part of a series produced between late 2010 and early 2011.

El artista presenta dos retratos de su imagen con dos sellos notablemente diferentes que se celebran en Gibraltar. Las intervenciones de referencia el conflicto político entre España y Gran Bretaña en cuanto a posesión de Gibraltar, así como representando la desorientación del artista a sus raíces.
En estas obras es el artista que ha sido colonizado por la posición absurda de la vida cotidiana.
